Declan is an Irishman named English with an 'O' level in Welsh! This reflects his early childhood in Ireland, Africa, England and Wales. He, and his wife Christine, spent their early married life in Kenya where Declan was a teacher; returning to the UK in 1984. For the last 20 years he has taught at special needs schools in and around Southampton before taking early retirement in 2008.

"We first became aware of the importance of mobility products about 5 years ago when a close family member became frail and needed mobility assistance," says Declan. "Over the years we needed a mobility scooter, a tri-walker, a walker with a seat, walking canes, wheelchair, personal hygiene items, bathroom aids, grab rails, non-slip shoes & slippers, exercise aids. Few of these products were available locally - at that time the nearest shop was in Chandlers Ford.

We realised how much of a need there was for people in similar situations within the New Forest area. It is our intention to meet that need by providing first class products and follow up service to enable disadvantaged people to still socialise and be a part of their community."
